My wife and I hunt West of Seymour and stopped in on our way home today for lunch. We were met by very friendly staff and we both ordered the chicken fried steak. We are born and raised Texas folk and have eaten our fair share of the Texas CFS! My wife and I both, hands down, agree that this is the absolute best Chicken Fried Steak we have ever eaten. It cut with a fork and the gravy is to die for. The french fries are fresh cut home made and are absolutely what your mom wishes she could make! If you find yourself in Seymour TX, I highly recommend this little gem! It will be a regular stop for us.

The food is very good here. We make it a point to eat here when we drive thru Seymour. It's worth the stop and the prices are reasonable.

Small hole in the wall Mom and Pop shop. Good food for a good price. The help was kind social and attentive.

I'm 73 and my parents always stopped to eat here even before I was a teenager. The restaurant was clean ( the men's room is a hoot). Food was good especially the pie. Waitress was pleasant. I'll go again when I'm that way again.

Run of the mill middle of nowhere stop. Very run down, sticky everywhere. If you aren't from this town they could care less about you being there. On the menu it list "soda", wanted a Dr. Pepper and was told they only had tea, water or coffee. Not impressed should have went down to Subway I stead. Place wasnt very busy but apparently they serve locals first. We just got hamburgers......not impressed with this place at all. And I even come from a smaller town than this.

Absolutely the worst service imaginable. The waitress was rude for no reason. My daughter and I had been on a trip to Ft. Worth and I had been raving to her about this place. WHAT A MISTAKE! Do not waste your time or money on this unclean, literal DUMP! The place should be closed by health department on the basis of FILTHY bathrooms alone!PLEASE do not risk your health!

Had the fried catfish special. Nice, juicy and fresh. Cooked very well! Got fries and a salad with that, both very nice. Service was friendly and attentive - great experience!

I spent the weekend in Seymour. I had an great breakfast and also had lunch at the Rock Inn cafe . Breakfast was great . I had the western omelette very fresh and flavorful. For lunch had burger and frys. The burger had so much flavor. What I love about this diner is the old small town country atmosphere with great food and an friendly staff.

Well I had my truck parked there no one bothered me but anywho the grill chicken sandwich and onion rings so amazing I will be back...

TRUCKERS NOT WELCOME!!! COME HERE FOR ELOG VIOLATIONS!!! I have been parking and eating here for many years in their huge empty dirt parking lot. I was woke up from sleep and told I was blocking parking spaces which I was absolutely not doing and was told to move over or leave. I was the only truck there with more than enough room for other patrons. They even called the local police to wake me. Trucker money is no good here. I sadly will never return.

Patty melt is to die for!!! The chicken fried steak sandwich is also a great choice! Not to mention hamburgers and just about everything else on the menu 😋

We live in Abilene and go to Wichita Falls frequently and we always make it a point to stop here. The food is always delicious, waitress attentive and friendly. We love it!!!!

Very disappointed with the food and service. My father has mentioned that bathrooms were disgusting. Don’t waste your time or money.

I didn't get to eat here as they were closed but they are kind enough to have parking for us truck drivers. Nice big gravel lot for about 10 tractor trailers. Thank you all for truck parking us truck drivers greatly appreciate it!

Great food but service is a little slow, however they only had one waitress bless her heart and she was wonderful.

This place was part of my childhood. Every time we went from Lubbock to Dallas for family visits we stopped here. Now I'm in Wichita Falls I stop here on my way to Lubbock. Burgers and fries are still the best anywhere.

What a neat lil find for us! We were wanting something different & filling for lunch on our 9 hr drive back home. Found this online decided to give it a try! Glad we did! 3 of us did the $9 Buffett which included salad bar, chicken fried steak & gravy, hamburger steak with grilled onions and gravy, mashed potatoes and gravy, beans, HUGE rolls with plenty of butter, and the best fried squash you’ll ever eat! The other teen got a loaded baked potato for half that price, with tip and everything, we left out FULL and for well under $45! We were more than satisfied and will definitely be back in when in that area again!
